Project Description

If you like soft fudgy treats that just melt in your mouth then this recipe is for you!

  • BASE:

    40g Almond meal

    40g Desiccated coconut

80g Happy Way Vegan Vanilla Powder

    2 TBspoons maple syrup

    2 TBSP coconut oil, melted

    1/4 cup almond butter

    1/4 cup coconut oil

    1/4 cup maple syrup

    1tsp vanilla

    pinch of salt

    100g Dairy free choc chips

    1 TPspoon Coconut Oil

  • Step 1: In a bowl, combine all the base ingredients until well combined. In a lined 8×8 brownie tin, spread the mix.

Use your hands for this as it is much easier to get the mixture into the corners.

  • Step 2: For the nut-butter caramel layer, gently melt everything in a saucepan. Don’t let the mix boil, and keep stirring until everything is melted and combined. Let it cool slightly before poring over the base.
Once the mixture has cooled enough, pour it over the base and tilt the pan to spread the caramel mix evenly. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  • Step 3: Once the slice has set, melt your chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave in 20 second bursts (stir after each time interval to prevent burning) until it is smooth and glossy. Pour over the slice and pop back into the fridge until set.

  • Step 4: Use a hot knife to slice into squares! It makes it so much easier and you get a cleaner cut on your slice.

Keep in the fridge so it doesn’t melt.
